New Cannon was officially launched on March 31, 2011. It was formed by Richard Albiston. The film company plans to produce small-budget films. The first film produced by the studio is Something Evil, Something Dangerous III: New Moon Rising released to great reviews and box office performance on 12th September 2011.
New Cannon is owned by Richard Albiston, who also serves as the company's managing director. Emma Paton serves as the company's most senior executive and also in charge of New Cannon Distribution & Home Video. Naomi Clare serves as Head of Development and Co-President.
The distribution arm of New Cannon Productions is New Cannon Distribution & Home Video. All DVD's and home video materials are developed and produced by New Cannon Productions.
